OLTD 505: Open Educational Resources
"Engage in learning communities and communities of practise"
My evidence of learning is my Summary of Learning video and blog for OLTD 505 with Alec Couros. While the video highlights all the learning through the course, I would like to emphasize the greatest impact of this course was instilling in me the desire to be “visible, open, connected and actively participating in the learning of others”. This has affected my teaching and outlook on the importance of openess in online learning, collaboration and sharing.
"Critically assess and evaluate resources for best practice in online learning"
My evidence of learning is my blog post on the use of the Creative Commons as a best practise use with online resources. After learning about the creative commons, I have incorporated its use in all areas of my teaching and professional work. My students get a full lesson in the Creative Commons and why it is important in our global sharing world.
For students and professionals, using the Creative Commons should be a best practise and a valuable resource for use with their online sharing of work and ideas.
